But it is also extremely important to take the time to show our appreciation, say “thank you” to our talented and hard-working employees, and celebrate all the progress we’ve made together.

So last week, all of our people gathered at the Minneapolis office for a day we jokingly referred to as “Mandatory Fun Day” – where we could all take a step back to get out and play on a beautiful August Day.

The morning began with a waffle bar and mimosas at the office. The mood was bright and cheery, as we caught up with remote friends, got to know our new hires and worked our way through a delicious buffet of waffles, donuts, bacon, fruit and more.

After carbing up for the day ahead, we all gathered in the lobby. The MGMT3D and EBM teams have been working on a social media initiative to support our Catalyst software, so we awarded prizes to the top participants and held a raffle drawing for everyone who participated.

Jordan Daniel from our Chicago office took first place, earning the most points for likes, shares and comments, and he was rewarded with a golden “thumbs up” trophy, cast from CEO Mike Skillingstad’s very own hand!

With the awards ceremony complete, the team boarded the party bus and headed out to Top Golf, where we spent the next couple of hours hitting balls, sipping on drinks and eating some pretty tasty fajitas.

To wrap up the day, we boarded the bus once again, this time heading out to Wayzata where we boarded pontoons and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening barhopping around Lake Minnetonka.

Overall, it was a great day and a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with people – whether we work with them every day or only see them on rare occasions. And it was a fantastic reminder of what a talented and genuinely fun group of people we’ve been fortunate enough to bring on board here.
