How Rumble used Catalyst to standardize reporting across two FieldRoutes instances and automate financial, sales, and retention insight.

“The scope was well managed. You put a ton of work into this, and developed a good product.”

— VP, Rumble Pest Solutions

Background

Rumble Pest Solutions was managing performance reporting across two FieldRoutes instances through fragmented, inconsistent processes. Leadership had limited consolidated visibility into financial, sales, and retention KPIs, and the existing reporting setup could not support the company’s acquisition-driven growth strategy.

Rumble needed more than another dashboard. It needed one governed reporting foundation: standardized KPIs, automated refreshes, and consistent performance insight across every location.

Solution implemented

Using Catalyst, the EBM Team brought Rumble’s two FieldRoutes instances into a standardized analytics environment. Over a five-month, three-phase engagement, the team delivered:

  • A framework of 23 standardized KPIs with documented business logic.
  • Three production Power BI dashboards covering Financial, Sales, and Retention performance.
  • Visibility into revenue, cash position, profitability, channel optimization, bundling, at-risk customers, churn, cohort behavior, and lifetime value.
  • Automated daily and nightly data pipelines through Catalyst.
  • A data dictionary, source-to-target mapping, validation packs, and self-service user administration.

Catalyst provided the scalable technology foundation. The EBM Team led discovery, KPI definition and validation, dashboard design, iterative reviews, and production deployment.

Results

All three dashboards were completed, approved, and deployed within the approved scope and budget. Automated pipelines eliminated manual aggregation and reduced reporting refreshes to hours.

Rumble’s leadership now has consolidated visibility into financial, sales, and operational performance across its locations, supported by a validated KPI framework and documented business logic. The architecture was explicitly designed to absorb future acquisitions, creating a more scalable and acquisition-ready reporting environment.

What made it possible

Technology was only part of the answer. Formal approval gates between each phase kept the project aligned with Rumble’s needs. KPI definitions and dashboard wireframes were validated before development progressed, while weekly cross-functional working sessions helped incorporate stakeholder feedback and minimize rework.

The result is an automation-first reporting foundation designed to grow with the business.
